The Egmer Visibility Score

The Egmer Visibility Score is a 0 to 100 measure of how findable a business is on Google, in AI answers, and in local results. It weighs five checks: AI readiness, accessibility, local presence, review health, and content freshness. Every score is dated, every point is tied to evidence, and the full methodology is published below.

No hidden scale, no black box. Egmer scores its own website first and publishes the number, gaps included.

Five Checks, One Number

The published weights behind every Egmer Visibility Score

AI readiness (25% of the score)

Whether AI assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude can find, read, and cite the business: machine-readable instructions, structured data depth, answer-shaped content, consistent business details everywhere, and measured presence in live AI answers.

Accessibility (25% of the score)

Whether the site works for every visitor, verified in two real browser engines: automated scans, full keyboard operability, readable color contrast, and honest markup. Accessible sites are also easier for search engines and AI to parse, and accessibility gaps carry legal risk.

Local presence (20% of the score)

Google Business Profile completeness, service-area accuracy, and directory listings that agree with each other: the signals that decide who shows up in the map pack.

Review health (15% of the score)

Review count, average rating, how recently reviews arrive, and whether the owner replies. Reviews feed both local rankings and AI recommendations.

Content freshness (15% of the score)

When the business last published, how consistently it publishes, topic depth, and internal linking. Stale sites fall out of both search results and AI answers.

Accessibility carries equal top weight with AI readiness on purpose: it is the check almost nobody else scores, it is verifiable in real browsers, and it protects the customers other audits ignore.

An honest number beats a flattering one. The weak spots are on the record, the fixes are underway in public, and the monthly re-score will show whether the methodology moves real numbers. Yours gets the same honesty.

Questions About the Visibility Score

The methodology, the bands, and how to get yours

What is the Egmer Visibility Score?

The Egmer Visibility Score is a 0 to 100 measure of how findable a business is on Google, in AI answers, and in local results. It is the weighted sum of five sub-scores: AI readiness (25%), accessibility (25%), local presence (20%), review health (15%), and content freshness (15%). Every score is dated, every point is tied to evidence, and the full methodology is published on this page.

Why does Egmer publish the methodology?

A score you cannot inspect is marketing theater. Publishing the weights, the bands, and what earns every point makes the number falsifiable: anyone can re-run the checks and challenge the result. That is also why Egmer scores its own website first and publishes the number, gaps included.

Is the Visibility Score free?

Yes. The full five-check audit is free, with no sales call required. Request it with your name, email, and website address, and the score arrives by email, typically within two business days.

How is the full score different from the instant check on this page?

The instant check is a 30-second automated preview: live Google rankings, map pack presence, website health, and AI search readiness, shown on screen immediately. The full Egmer Visibility Score is a deeper audit against the published five-check methodology, including two-browser accessibility testing and review and directory analysis, delivered by email with your biggest gap called out.

What do the score bands mean?

0 to 40 is Invisible: AI and Google have little to cite. 41 to 60 is Findable: indexed but rarely chosen for answers. 61 to 80 is Competitive: winning some answers with gaps visible. 81 to 100 is Cited: the kind of source AI answers name.

What is Egmer Marketing's own Visibility Score?

As of August 25, 2026, egmermarketing.com scores 65 out of 100, in the Competitive band: AI readiness 62, accessibility 83, local presence 48, review health 35, content freshness 90. The number is published because Egmer never sells a score it will not show on itself, and the gaps are being fixed in public.

Why do scores have dates?

Search results and AI models move constantly, so a score without a date is meaningless. Every Egmer Visibility Score is stamped with its audit date, and re-scores use the same published rubric so numbers stay comparable over time.
